Cardi B announces split from husband Offset: 'I guess we grew out of love'
One of the music industry’s biggest power couples is no more.
In a video posted to Instagram late Tuesday night, Cardi B announced that she and husband Offset have split up. She married the Migos rapper last year but didn’t announce the nuptials until June, just a month before their daughter, Kulture Kiari, was born.
“So everybody been bugging me and everything, and you know I’ve been trying to work things out with my baby father for a hot minute now,” the “Bodak Yellow” performer told fans in the video, in which she appears to be topless.
“We are really good friends and we are really good business partners — you know he’s always somebody that I run to to talk to — and we got a lot of love for each other, but things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time.
“It’s nobody fault, I guess we just grew out of love but we are not together anymore. I don’t know, it might take time to get a divorce and I’m going to always have a lot of love for him because he is my daughter’s father,” she added.

Fans are speculating that the breakup was Cardi B’s decision, as Offset responded to her post with the cryptic comment, “Y’all won.” He is also rumored to be releasing a new song this week, which may or may not address the split.
Reactions to the separation have ranged from theories that it might be a prank to rumors of infidelity. And while many are pulling for the couple to make things work, some in Cardi’s camp are cheering on her choice to move on.
