Cardi B Is a Pastel Princess in Giant Ruffled Gown While Posing at NYC Fashion Show
Cardi B is proving that she's ever the fashion girl.
In new photos from a fashion show in New York City, the "Bodak Yellow" rapper stunned as she posed in an over-the-top ruffled dress.
The ensemble, which was made to look like it was literally blooming from her body, was covered in floral petals in colorful hues of yellow and purple as she made her way to the event and strutted into the Marc Jacobs Fall 2024 presentation held at New York Public Library on Monday, July 1.
Styling her hair in an updo with wispy bangs, the musical artist paired the look with knit yellow tights, sky high white platform buckle heels, and yellow sunglasses.
For beauty, she opted to keep her makeup and nails fairly neutral, rocking a brownish lip color and sheer pale pink polish as to not take anything away from the fashion moment.
Standing on the stairs of the venue, she struck a few poses, showing off the dramatism of the dress, before gathering near with the designer himself, Marc Jacobs—who kept his low-key by rocking a grey hoodie over a white tee with black dungaree pants and slides—for a few photos.

In addition to Cardi, several other famous faces made appearances at the fashion show, such as the famed Vogue head Anna Wintour, actress Nicole Ari Parker, heiress Nicky Hilton, singer Natasha Bedingfield, Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon, A$AP Nast, Rowan Blanchard, and more.
In the show notes, Jacobs titled the collection "Joy, period."
"We use fashion to embrace bold and courageous self-expression to articulate and showcase our inner selves, allowing us to freely explore and display our thoughts, desires and identities in a deeper pursuit of joy, beauty and personal transformation," the explanation of the theme read, per Fashionista.
"While the future remains unwritten, I am steadfast in my daily practice of choosing love over hate, faith over fear and finding pause in reflection. I believe in living with authenticity—free from validation and permission of absurd conservatism and societal norms," it continued.
