Mexican: In April, Carín León made history as the first Latino to perform at both the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival and Stagecoach country music festival during the same year. Also, the "Según Quién" singer received a key to the City of Coachella. “At home, I never imagined that I would be playing at Coachella,” León said during the ceremony.

León will return to the Coachella Valley on Sunday to perform at Acrisure Arena as part of his "Boca Chueca Tour."

Yacht rock: If you feel like "Sailing," you'll enjoy an evening of yacht rock by Christopher Cross and Pablo Cruise on Friday at Spotlight 29 Casino. Cross is renowned for "Arthur's Theme" featured on the soundtrack for the 1981 comedy-romance film "Arthur," which won him an Academy Award for Best Song. Some of his other hits include "Ride Like The Wind," "All Right" and "Think of Laura."

Pop: What does Toto have to do with Steely Dan, Michael Jackson, Boz Scaggs and others? A lot. The pop band featuring studio session musicians played on albums recorded by some of the biggest names in music. Toto also had many pop hits on its own, with songs such as "Rosanna," "Hold the Line," "I'll Be Over You" and of course "Africa," which has enjoyed success again in recent years as an internet meme.

Toto will perform on Saturday at Agua Caliente Resort Casino Spa.

Punk: The Frights formed over a decade ago in San Diego, and ever since, they've been blending punk, surf rock and doo-wop. The band quickly gained a following through energetic live performances and eccentric music videos. In 2018, the band's musical growth was evident on their third album, "Hypochondriac." The Frights continued to evolve with their fifth album, "Gallows Humor," in 2023.

The Frights will perform on Saturday at Pappy and Harriet's.
