Carrie Fisher: Mark Hamill, More Pay Tribute to Their ‘Princess’ 1 Year After Her Death
You may have just seen Princess Leia or Gen. Organa (depending on your generation), float through space in “Star Wars: The Last Jedi,” but Carrie Fisher died a year ago today.
On Wednesday, Fisher’s friends, family and fans marked the anniversary of Fisher’s death with tributes to the actress. Among those were Mark Hamill, her close friend and “Star Wars” co-star, who tweeted a touching tribute to his on-screen sister.
“No one’s ever really gone… #AlwaysWithUs #CarrieOnForever,” he wrote, alongside a photo collage of Fisher pictures and fan art. Hamill included the hashtags #AlwaysWithUs and #CarrieOnForever, which other fans have used while posting their own tributes.
