Casting Net: Matthew Broderick, Chloe Sevigny set to star in comedy 'Look Away'
Matthew Broderick and Chlo? Sevigny will be starring in Locomotive Media’s dark comedy Look Away, with British actress Shannon Tarbet leading the film. The film is about Tarbet’s character, a young woman who is physically unable to see her mother because of a fictional affliction called “selective blindness.” But with the help of her eccentric psychiatrist and a love interest, she will grow up, find love, and take control of her own future. Broderick and Sevigny will play Tarbet’s parents. Delaney and Monty Whitebloom are set to direct from a script penned by Jennifer Schuur. Filming began this week in Hudson Valley, NY. [Variety]
Jamie Hill (Two and a Half Men), Carter Jenkins (The Following), Chris Hayes (Divergent) and Entertainment Tonight‘s Carly Steel have all boarded the indie thriller Headgame. The film stars Hill as a kind yoga instructor who wakes up inside an abandoned warehouse after her first date with a mysterious man. There are seven strangers there as well who have all been forced into a fatal game all for the amusement of a malicious secret society. Hayes will play the designer of the game. [The Wrap]
Korean actor Lee Min-ho (Gangnam Blues) will star the in action-adventure flick Bounty Hunters, the story of five bounty hunters who chase fugitives for money all around China, Hong Kong, Korea and Thailand. Shooting is expected to take place on Korea’s Jeju Island, as well as other locations. It is set for a tentative 2016 theatrical release. [Variety]
