Celebrities Front Row at Valentino Fall 2025: Jared Leto, Parker Posey Hang in Alessandro Michele’s Public Bathroom
ALL STALLED UP: Jared Leto almost hit the runway for Sunday’s Valentino show, but in the end the actor stayed as part of the audience in his runway-ready look. Key to that was a fringed sash that tied cummerbund-style at the waist, that Leto made sure photographers didn’t miss with his open coat.
“It’s always great to be here to support the king, my brother from another mother,” said Leto.

He and Valentino artistic director Alessandro Michele famously twinned at the Met Gala in 2022, and have a long history of friendship.
Leto characterized Michele as “the perfect person to spend an afternoon with — intelligent, thoughtful, a great listener.”
While he has twinned with Michele, he still plans to step into the shoes of another design legend. Leto is continuing to work on his long-gestating biopic of late Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld.
“It’s a long process. One step at a time. You really start with the script, and that’s always hard to get right, so you take the time that he needs to try to make it great, and that’s what we’re doing right now,” he said.
Michele is known for his theatrical shows and Sunday was no exception. Chappell Roan continued her reign over fashion week, this time hitting the front row in a “Gone With the Wind”-sized hoop skirt so big she needed three assistants to carry it. Everyone was bathed in red.
Parker Posey was taking in the scene — rows of bathroom stall doors, grimy mirrors and industrial white sinks. The “White Lotus” star compared it to a Stanley Kubrick or Rainer Werner Fassbinder film.
“There’s something kind of eerie, ominous, but also really beautiful and modern and bold,” she said of the tent erected in the courtyard of the Institut du Monde Arabe, that was certainly dramatic enough to be movie set.
Posey demurred on having any knowledge about quote-unquote fashion.
“I like pieces that make you happy, like these socks make me,” she said, lifting up her long skirt to reveal embroidered knee-highs in 1970s-style platform sandals. Michele’s design ethic is also reminiscent of the directors she named. “It feels like a man collaborating with women to lift them up in a way,” she said of the fashions.
Next, she’s off to Easter Island to shoot “Wild Horse Nine,” with Sam Rockwell, Mark Ruffalo and John Malkovich. She wouldn’t divulge the plot but is excited about getting to spend time in one of the most isolated spots on earth.
“It’s where those heads are, and it’s such a mystery. How did they get there? Why are they there? Like, what happened? We can’t wait to go,” she said.
Sophie Thatcher glammed it up, posing for artistic shots in a 1960s-style outfit. She got ready with WWD earlier in the day.
The “Yellowjackets” star was in pink tights, a color she rarely wears. She had some unique postshow plans.
“I really want to visit some graveyards after this or gravestones and take some pictures in this outfit, because I think the juxtaposition of the pink and the lightness against the darkness of the gravestones will be interesting,” she said.
“Fashion week always feels really hectic. So, I’d love to come here when it’s not fashion week, and I can just actually be a human being and explore and have time for that,” she said.
Luckily, she has two projects in the works that will be in Europe, putting her closer to the French capital for weekend jaunts.
Thai pop star Jeff Satur was kitted out — in full cat gear, that is. He was wearing a pullover with a cat print, and carrying a cat handbag. What was inside?
“Just my love for Valentino,” he joked, revealing an empty case. “My love for cats. Because I’ve got 17 cats back at home, I got this one for the Paris show.”
With 80-plus looks and a Lana Del Rey soundtrack, the rest of the show was the cat’s meow.
