Celebrities Who Have the Most Homes
When your bank account has as many digits in it as these A-list stars, it makes sense to spend your millions on homes across the globe! Some Hollywood stars, business moguls and talented performers boast dozens of luxurious properties in tropical locations, city centers and coastal paradises.
While the rest of us can only dream of sprawling estates with swimming pool, in-home movie theaters, private beaches and 10-car garages, stars like George Clooney and Rihanna are living out our fantasies.
We’ve all seen the ornate, perfectly designed mansions that get featured in Architectural Digest or the mega-sized compounds with price tags that make our eyes water, but what about the stars who have divided their millions across several stunning properties? We’re not just talking about A-listers who buy and sell houses like they are groceries — though we have some of those details too. We mean stars who are sitting on up 20 homes that they can jet off too at any given moment.
Take Clooney, for example, the actor is most widely associated with his stunning Lake Como mansion that was initially purchased as a luxurious bachelor pad before he eventually married Amal Clooney in 2014. The couple later welcomed twins, Ella and Alexander, in 2017 and the family of four now splits their time between their Italian villa and several other mansions across the globe.
But Clooney doesn’t even top our list! Among his fellow A-listers’ real estate portfolios are private islands, a record-breaking house purchase, multi-home compounds and so much more.

Madonna
Pop icon Madonna has been the proud owner of many stunning properties across the globe throughout her life, including a historic 18th century home in England that she ended up losing to ex-husband Guy Ritchie in their divorce.
However, she still owns stock in the UK after purchasing a 10-bedroom London townhouse in 2007 for $8.07 million which she reportedly still owns. Madonna reportedly still owns a $7.3 million condo on Manhattan’s Upper West Side after previously selling a different apartment, that she once shared with Sean Penn, in the same unit.
Across town, Madonna owns a 13 bedroom, $40 million Georgian–style mega-mansion on the Upper East Side. She also reportedly owns a horse farm spanning 58 acres in the Hamptons. In a drastic move after the 2016 election, Madonna temporarily left the US and purchased an $8.9 million mansion in Lisbon, Portugal.
While the singer reportedly still owns this home, she didn’t stay out of the US totally and purchased a $19.3 million luxury Hidden Hills mansion from The Weeknd in 2021.
Total: 6 homes, including a farm.
Jeff Bezos
As one of the richest people in the world, it is no surprise that Jeff Bezos boasts a $500 million property portfolio.
Prior to their 2019 split, he and ex-wife MacKenzie Scott shared two Beverly Hills homes: a $12.9 million mansion (4,568-square-feet, 4 beds), and a $24.45 million adjacent mansion (11,891-square-feet, 7 beds, 7 baths) which Bezos appears to have kept post-divorce. He later splashed out $165 million, and then an additional $10 million, to combined two more Beverly Hills properties into one compound.
In Medina, Washington, he owns a set of properties worth $10 million: one boasts 20,6000-square-feet of living space, while the other has 8,300 (both have 5 beds, 4 baths). He also bought another adjacent property listed at $53 million (24,000-square-feet, 6 beds, 6 baths).
In Washington, D.C., Bezos owns a $23 million Kalorama residence (27,000-square-feet, 10 beds, 11 baths, and near the Obamas). In West Texas, he owns 300,000 acres of land based around “Corn Ranch,” a 30,000 acre ranch house originally bult in the 1920s.
Bezos also owns several properties in New York City: a $7.65 million set of three Lincoln Square apartments, to which he later added a $5.3 million adjacent unit (1,725-square-feet). Further downtown, Bezos owns five luxury units in a building overlooking Madison Square Park, bringing his holdings there to $119 million. In Nov. 2021, he and Lauren Sanchez purchased a $78 million beachfront home in Maui that’s basically a private corner of the island.
In April 2024, he snapped up a home on Florida’s Billionaire Bunker, his third in the area. That brought the total value of his homes in Florida to an eye-popping $177 million.
Total: 20 homes.
Leonardo DiCaprio
Leonardo DiCaprio’s expansive real estate portfolio includes everything from beach houses to condos to his own private island!
The California native’s first property purchase was a $2.5 million Hollywood Hills home that he bought from Madonna. Over the years, he has purchased surrounding properties to build an elaborate compound comprised of four properties. He reportedly uses the property to rent out space to friends and for entertaining purposes, even hosting an election viewing party there in 2020.
In 2005, DiCaprio spent $1.75 million on an uninhabitated island off the coast of Belize, Blackadore Caye, with plans to build an eco-conscious luxury resort. However, local fisherman and business owners have objected to the notion that DiCaprio can “heal” the island with an expensive construction project and, 20 years later, the build has yet to begin.
DiCaprio is also the owner of two eco-friendly condos in New York City (he sold a third apartment there in 2016), a $5.2 million estate in Palm Springs (7,000 square feet, 6 bedrooms, 7.5 baths, tennis court, and guesthouse), and a $23 million Malibu beach house (1.76 acres and 90 feet of beach frontage, and a major renovation plan), another Malibu property and a Beverly Hills home. DiCaprio’s Palm Springs home is available to rent on AirBnB. He previously owned, and later sold, two other Malibu beach houses.
In 2021 alone, DiCaprio bought Gwen Stefani’s old home in Los Feliz from Jesse Tyler Ferguson for $7.1 million, sold his father’s Los Feliz mansion for $5.75 million, bought another Malibu home this time for $13.8 million, and, finally, dropped $10 million on a Beverly Hills estate.
Total: 5 homes, 2 condos, 1 island.
Rihanna
Billionaire singer and makeup mogul Rihanna has bounced around several luxurious properties over the years. These include a $6.9 million, 8-bedroom home that she bought in 2009 (that John Legend and Chrissy Teigen later owned), a $21 million LA penthouse, a $6.8 million Hollywood villa and even a $25,000 a week, 19-century rental home in London.
However, we’re focused on the properties Rihanna reportedly still owns today. Rihanna proudly put down roots in her native Barbados in 2013, purchasing a $22 million beachhouse with five en suite bedrooms, all with their own private terrace. A year earlier, she purchased a five-bed home for her mom nearby. She owns a $925,000 condo in LA and an LA Canyonside home previously inhabited by stars like Madonna, Mariah Carey, and Sir Paul McCartney. She also owns a $10 million Beverly Hills mansion.
Total: 5 homes.
Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift is ultra-private but she does appear to own at least eight multi-million dollar homes — that we know of! Though she was born in Pennsylvania, Swift spent her adolescence in Nashville, Tennessee, where she owns two homes: a $1.99 million condo (3,240 square feet), and a $2.5 million mansion (4 beds, 4.5 baths, guest house and pool)
If you’ve ever heard about Swift’s legendary 4th of July parties, you’ll also know she owns a $17.75 million estate in Watch Hill, Rhode Island (12,000-square-feet, 7 beds, 9 baths). And though Los Angeles doesn’t seem to be her favorite place to live, she maintains a residence there too: a $25 million Georgian estate in Beverly Hills (10,982-square-feet, 7 beds, 10 baths).
Then, we get to Swift’s newest love: New York City. Her first buy was a $20 million set of Tribeca penthouses (8,309 square feet, 10 beds, 10 baths), followed by another $9.75 million apartment in the same building. A year prior, she’d purchased a $20 million Tribeca townhouse — and she’s getting dangerously close to owning the whole block.
During her six-year relationship with Joe Alwyn, Swift lived in London and while there are no official property records, the singer hinted in her song ‘So Long, London’ that she purchase a home in the UK city.
Total: 8 (known) homes.
Kim Kardashian
Fans of Kim Kardashian’s various reality shows will know that the billionaire mogul bought and sold many homes before embarking on her biggest real estate venture yet with her now-ex Kanye West.
The crown jewel of Kimye’s real estate collection was their $60 million main home in Hidden Hills — profiled in Architectural Digest — that Kim still resides in post-divorce. The former couples started the hub around which they would buy their next two properties: an adjacent $2.9 million lot (4.5 acres, 3900-square-foot house) and an adjacent $2.7 million lot (1.5 acres) where Kim has hinted she wants to build horseback-riding stables for her kids.
In 2022, Kardashian purchased a $6.3 million property right next door but quickly sold it again six months later.
Kardashian also owns a plot of land in La Quinta, which she originally bought with West for $6.3 million. In a 2022 interview, she revealed plans to build a spaceship-shaped property but the final result has not yet been revealed. In the same interview, she also hinted at owning a lake-front property in an undisclosed location.
In a 2023 episode of The Kardashians, the Skim founder paid a visit to her $70.4 million Malibu beach house, a Mediterranean-style villa on 3.18-acre lot with private beach access, a tennis court and stunning views.
Total: 3 homes, 1 plot of land.
Chrissy Teigen & John Legend
In 2023, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend showed off their stunning $17.5 million Beverly Hills home to Architectural Digest after an exetensive renovation job but it is just one of several of the couple’s homes.
The pair also own two NYC penthouses in a building that was originally a 1856 carriage factory. They previously owned, and sold, another unit in the same building. Their stakes in the building total to $16.72 million worth of penthouses.
The couple appear to have some other investment properties across Los Angeles, including a $5.1 million four-bedroom house in West Hollywood. Then there is their $2 million Hollywood Hills ranch, where they met on set of a music video, and three homes in Legend’s native Ohio, which are all inhabited by family members.
Total: 8 homes.
George Clooney
George Clooney’s first major real estate purchase was a $2.2 million, 6-bedroom villa in Los Angeles’s Studio City in 1995 that he still owns today, though it has undergone several renovations and is likely much larger now!
In 2008, the actor purchased his most famous property, an 18th-century home overlooking Lake Como in Italy. The luxury home, which Clooney now lives in with wife Amal and their twins, reportedly boasts 25 rooms, an outdoor pool, tennis courts, gym, home theater.
In 2014, after buying, building and selling a luxury getaway in Mexico, the Clooneys bought a $13 million home on a tiny island on the River Thames in England. They also reportedly own a $14.75 condo in New York and another 18th century home in France (425-acres with a 25-acre vineyard, 72-foot pool, tennis courts, gardens, an olive grove, and a lake).
Total: 4 homes, 1 private island.
Oprah
We have a lot to get through here, so we’ll dive right in. Winfrey spends most of her time at her $50 million Montecito home (23,000 square feet and not far from Meghan Markle), where she lives with Stedman Graham.
Not far from that is her Seamair Farm Estate, a horse farm she purchased for $29 million seated between the mountains and the beach. And just because she loves Montecito so much, she bought another $6.85 million home there too previously owned by Jeff Bridges.
Next, Winfrey has a $8.275 million Orcas Island, Washington home (41 acres, 7,303-square-feet living space, 8 beds, 6 baths, and 3,000 feet of private beach), a $14 million Telluride, Colorado home (3.25 acres, 8,700-square-feet living space, 5 beds, 6.5 baths), and a stunning 163-acre estate in Maui, Hawaii, estimated to be worth roughly $30 million.
Total: 6 homes.
Jay-Z & Beyoncé
In 2023, Jay-Z and Beyoncé set a record for the priciest home in California when they splashed out $190 million on a Malibu mansion. They are also owners of a $6.85 million penthouse in New York, where they secretly married in 2008.
They are believed to own a Spanish Baroque-style mansion, that was once a church, in New Orleans. In 2017, they purchased a $26 million, 7-bedroom waterfront property in the Hamptons. And they own an $88 million megamansion in Bel Air. When it comes to international travel, the pair are known to charter multi-million yachts for months on end.
Total: 4 homes.
Kris Jenner
Fans of The Kardashians know that Kris Jenner recently completed renovations on a Hidden Hills mansion that is situated on a plot of land that she shares with daughter Khloe and her home. The mother-daughter duo purchased the 3.4 acre piece of land in April 2021 and reportedly spent a combined $37million to construct their dream homes.
In a 2022 episode of her show, Jenner took viewers on a tour of her Beverly Hills condo that she “forgot” she owned. She also still owns the Calabasas mansion prominently featured in Keeping Up With The Kardashians that she paid $8 million back in 2010. Her son, Rob Kardashian, currently lives in the house.
In 2018, Kris then splashed out $12 million on a compound situated in La Quinta, California near Palm Springs. The family has been known to use the property for group vacations.
Total: 4 homes.
Ellen DeGeneres & Portia de Rossi
House-flipping couple Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi have reportedly bought and sold upward of 20 properties since 2003, so it is hard to keep track of which homes are currently in their possession.
According to Architectural Digest, the couple currently own several homes in Montecito, California. These include a modest midcentury-modern bungalow that cost $2.9 million. Their other properties are far more lavish and in 2022, the couple broke a Santa Barbara County record with the purchase of a five-bedroom, eight-bathroom Tuscan-style mansion and a conjoining plot of land in Carpinteria for $70 million.
