Cha-Ching! Drake Loses $60,000 to French Montana Over NBA Playoffs Bet

The lesson here is never, ever bet against LeBron James. The superstar NBA player was brought to tears after leading the Cleveland Cavaliers to victory over the Golden State Warriors during Game 7 of the NBA Finals Sunday night, but French Montana was all smiles — and with good reason.
It turned out Khloé Kardashian’s ex won a bet he’d made with Drake over which team would win the coveted top prize and collected a cool $60,000 as a result. Montana took to Snapchat to brag about his windfall saying, “Shout-out to my brother Drizzy Drake for that 60 bands, ’cuz you ain’t believe in LeBron.” (A woman in the background looks quite unimpressed with Montana’s victory, but it’s safe to say the rest of us are.)
Drake hasn’t responded to the post, but considering he recently made the Forbes list of hip-hop’s richest rappers with a reported net worth of roughly $60 million, it’s safe to say these “bands” are but a drop in the bucket. Still, he probably won’t doubt LeBron again.
But this hardly means there’s a rivalry between Montana and the Views rapper. Just last week, the two were cavorting around the Dominican Republic together. While they were allegedly there for work (since they are collaborating on a song called “No Shopping”), from the looks of Drake’s Instagram roll, they had plenty of time to play as well.
“Pre order mc4 @frenchmontana … "No Shopping” coming soon,“ Drake wrote alongside a shot of his bestie clad in all white, a fedora, and gold chains as a gaggle of bikini-clad ladies congregated in the background.

The work clearly out of the way, Drake followed up with a smattering of lustworthy pictures of their five-bedroom villa, called Casa de Campo, which featured an enormous infinity pool looking out over the ocean that they thoroughly seemed to enjoy, and came with private butler and maid service, a premium-stocked bar, and three golf carts.

“Not often enough,” Drake mused beside a glamorous shot of the outdoor portion of the $3,260-a-night accommodations.
He followed this up with a snap of himself sporting a black-and-gold robe with a frosty cocktail in hand, Hugh Hefner style. (Just from this pic alone, it’s safe to say losing $60K in a bet means nothing to this man.) Drake completed his vacation album with two pics of himself enjoying the pool: first, on an inflatable raft, and second, staring out over the edge into the great blue beyond.

For his part, Frenchie opted to share a pic showing a sliver of the private plane they took rather than the villa. “The real ting,” he captioned the shot. The real ting, indeed.
