Chesterfield: Watch "The Garfield Movie" for free, bounce houses, food trucks, giveaways

CHESTERFIELD — How would you like to see the 2024 animated comedy film "The Garfield Movie" for free? You can do just that tonight, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the Chesterfield County Fair Grounds.

"The Garfield Movie" directed by Mark Dindal is based on the comic strip "Garfield" created by Jim Davis. It stars Chris Pratt, Samuel L. Jackson, Snoop Dogg, Cecily Strong, Brett Goldstein, Hannah Waddingham, Nicholas Hoult, Ving Rhames, Harvey Guillén and Bowen Yang.

The forecast is looking great for the outdoor event hosted by Chesterfield County Parks and Recreation to benefit the Chesterfield County Animal Services. There will be giveaways, bounce houses, balloon animals and more during this fun-filled event.

Food vendors at the event will include DonutNV, Hawk's Extreme Concessions, Kona Ice, Nolia's Lemonade, Pop's Kettle Corn and Quinto Sol.

The movie on the big screen starts at dusk. Bring chairs and blankets, but for the safety of the guest animals, please leave pets at home.
