Chris Brown in trouble again, faces restraining order for allegedly stalking woman
Chris Brown has new woes on his legal résumé. The Grammy-winning singer has a fresh temporary restraining order filed against him by a woman who claims he hit, harassed, and stalked her.
According to a initial report by The Blast, Brown has been ordered to stay 100 yards away from the 24-year-old woman, identified only as “Cassandra.” According to court documents, the woman alleges Brown’s harassment occurred several times on different but unspecified days. She was granted the restraining order this week in a Los Angeles courtroom.
Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, said in a statement to E! that his 29-year-old client does not even know Cassandra and suggested that the woman harbors mental health issues.
Brown has faced legal trouble involving various women throughout his career, with his most infamous case being a guilty plea to assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.
Last year, his ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran filed a restraining order against him, alleging that he had threatened to kill her.
Just last month, a woman who identified only as “Jane Doe” accused Brown of trapping her in his house during an orgy, at which she was sexually assaulted. She retained attorney Gloria Allred to sue for negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and battery and assault. Geragos, again, denied all accusations.
