Chrissy Teigen shares cringeworthy encounter with Michael Keaton: 'So embarrassed by it still'
During Tuesday’s The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Chrissy Teigen revealed her most embarrassing celebrity encounter. The incident occurred after an unspecified Golden Globe Awards show, and it involved a pretty famous actor.
"I was drinking a lot," said Teigen. "I saw somebody at the entrance holding a glass of champagne, so I just went up and I took it and I said, 'Thank you.' And [husband John Legend] goes, 'That was Michael Keaton.'"
Keaton won a 2015 Golden Globe for his performance in Birdman. While his tuxedo may have been similar to the waitstaff, it was an incredibly embarrassing moment.
"I'm so embarrassed by it still, I could die," Teigen admits. "But I just took it, I drank it, and I left."
Teigen has been very vocal about her struggles with alcohol addiction. In December, she revealed she was four weeks sober. Since then, she has repeatedly updated fans about how sobriety has increased her quality of life.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. on NBC.
