Christian Siriano and husband Brad Walsh separate after less than 2 years of marriage
Christian Siriano won’t be celebrating his second wedding anniversary.
The designer and Project Runway winner’s marriage to singer-songwriter Brad Walsh is over, according to a message Walsh posted on Instagram. He shared the news after receiving a press inquiry from a reporter who had heard about their secret split and planned to run a story.
“Bit more than a month ago my husband and I separated,” Walsh wrote. “I was contacted by a writer for a website who somehow found out, so rather than let them break it, I’m telling you myself. It’s nobody’s business and I don’t want to discuss, but that’s what’s up.” He ended the post with a shrugging-man emoji.
Siriano, 32, has not yet commented. The designer and Walsh, 36, had been making appearances together all year. Their last red carpet was just over a month ago, on May 16, for the Bottomless Closet’s 19th Annual Spring Luncheon.
They had been together for more than a decade, beginning in 2007. They moved in together in NYC’s Chelsea neighborhood in 2010 and became engaged in 2013, buying matching bracelets to celebrate. Their dream wedding, which took place in July 2016 at their Danbury, Conn., country house, was a star-studded event, including clients Siriano has made his famous dresses for. Kristen Johnston (3rd Rock From the Sun), who got ordained via the internet for the occasion, married them in front of guests including Alicia Silverstone, Kelly Osbourne, Christina Hendricks, and Anna Chlumsky. The men exchanged vows borrowed from The Velveteen Rabbit.
