Coco Jones Revives the Peekaboo Bra Layering Trend in Custom Coach for Oscars 2025 Red Carpet

Coco Jones brought the peekaboo bralette trend to the red carpet at the 2025 Oscars on Sunday in Los Angeles. The singer sported a custom black gown by Coach.

Jones’ frock, which was embellished with sequins and a velvet bow, featured a sultry thigh-high slit and a floor-length train. She added on a matching oversize coin purse, completing her look with buckled open-toe heels and a large diamond pendant necklace.
The “Taste” artist was styled by Maeve Reilly, who also counts Eva Longoria and Zedd as clients.
Jones wore her dark tresses in a side part, while her makeup consisted of brown eye shadow, pink blush and a glossy nude lip.
The Grammy winner modeled another lingerie-inspired look at Vanity Fair and Instagram’s annual Vanities party on Wednesday, where she selected a sheer corseted dress by Anamika Khanna.
After having a major moment in 2023, the peekaboo bralette trend dominated red carpets last year, with stars including Selena Gomez, Sydney Sweeney and Elizabeth Debicki modeling the sultry fad at high-profile events like the GLAAD Awards and the Academy Museum Gala.
Speaking to WWD in 2024, Jones explained how TikTok helped her grow her following as an artist.
“I was in these remixes of a lot of popular songs at the time, and they gave me a lot of visibility. A lot of people got reinterested in me creatively as an artist,” she said. “It really was right timing — but also it was more visibility, and that was because of TikTok.”
The 97th Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars, takes place on Sunday at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Conan O’Brien is hosting the ceremony, honoring the best in cinema from the past year. Notable presenters include Halle Berry, Penélope Cruz, Scarlett Johansson, Oprah Winfrey, Cillian Murphy, Emma Stone and more.
