Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson are in a great place. Things are going well, they have serious feelings for each other, and they do not plan to break things off any time soon.
But that doesn't mean the musically talented couple is ready to take things to the next level, either. Simpson recently opened up about his thoughts on dating Cyrus, how they met, how they have matured, and whether or not they might want a baby in the near future.

Cyrus was is working through a divorce with ex-husband Liam Hemsworth. The "Don't Call Me Angel" singer and The Hunger Games star shared plenty of ups and downs, breaking up and making up several times over the years.
They married in late 2018 after bonding over California wildfires. Cyrus credited Hemsworth for being a source of support for her through the ordeal and said they were given a new sense of perspective following these scary events. The couple had been engaged more than once before.
Hot Girl Summer
Things started to unravel when Cyrus was spotted kissing best friend Brody Jenner's ex Kaitlynn Carter while on a boat in Italy. The pair were on vacation together when things seemed to get romantic. The Hannah Montana actor denied cheating on her husband, Cyrus and Hemsworth published statements clearing Cyrus of any wrongdoing, stating that they had separated before she had left for her trip.
Cyrus reportedly broke things off with Carter shortly after their whirlwind relationship began. Reports said she was scared about how fast things were progressing. The sources said the couple clicked well because they had been friends for a long time.
Good Friends
It turns out, being old friends seems to be working for Cyrus this time around. Simpson recently appeared on The Kyle And Jackie O Show to chat about his relationship with Cyrus.
Simpson credited their longtime friendship with making their current relationship status a breeze. He said he and Cyrus had first met during their partying days but they had both settled down since then. They now focus their efforts on their work in the studio. Simpson said this maturity keeps things, "healthy."
No Babies ... Yet
When asked if he and Cyrus had any plans for babies, Simpson responded, "None yet, mate." The musician said he and his girlfriend are actually quite careful to make sure they do not have any pregnancy scares.
This is in-line with Cyrus' current headspace, the singer has dedicated 2020 to self-care. Sources say she is using yoga and music as a way to cope with her feelings over her divorce with Hemsworth. Cyrus is reportedly putting herself first and paying attention to her own needs.
