Coffee crawl promotes upcoming performance
Oct. 7—Saturday morning was the fifth annual coffee crawl hosted by the art attack studio.
In total, 16 local small businesses took part in the tour as actors from an upcoming performance of Alice in Wonderland greeted guests up and down the streets of downtown St. Joseph.
The event is a way for small businesses to come together while also promoting the upcoming performance. With more and more guests and businesses taking part, it doesn't appear to be going away anytime soon.
While many residents take booze cruises and other various tours of the area, the coffee crawl provides more of a family-friendly experience on a Saturday morning.
"It's just grown every year we've ended up with beautiful weather the last several years and the businesses love it," said Marla Heeler, owner of Dance Arts Center. "They get into it, they create coffees based on the characters in our productions. Last year we did the nutcracker. This year, Alice in Wonderland. It's been great."
The performance of Alice in Wonderland is Jan. 27 at the Missouri Theatre.
