Coldplay’s Chris Martin Sends a Direct Message About Taylor Swift With Song Dedication

Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay, called out Taylor Swift during their recent concert as he dedicated a song to the "Fortnight" singer.

Swifties shared the clip online of Martin talking about the 34-year-old, with the English musician beginning his message by saying, "This is for Taylor Swift because she left town."

"This is for all of you who feel sad today because Taylor had to go to the next city, so we sing this love song, this heartbreak song, and send it to Taylor wherever she is today," Martin concluded his message before beginning to play the piano for the track "Everglow."

Coldplay's concert took place in Düsseldorf, Germany, while Swift recently played three shows in the city of Gelsenkirchen, which is less than an hour's drive from there. She will perform in Germany for a while longer before moving on to the next country, as she has dates in Hamburg and Munich next.

"As a swiftie who also loves Coldplay this warms my heart ??," wrote one fan, while more reacted to the dedication by saying, "When worlds collide ??," and "i knew i loved coldplay."

"Okay time to stream some coldplay i wasn’t familiar with your game," said another, while someone else cheered, "WE LOVE MEN WHO SUPPORT WOMEN!!! CHRIS MARTIN, THE MAN THAT YOU ARE!!!!!!!"

Many more called for a collaboration between the two major musical artists, who are both touring across Europe.

Before she arrived in Germany, Swift took her Eras Tour to Milan, Italy, and Zurich, Switzerland, while she's set to head to Poland and Austria next.

During her visit to Gelsenkirchen, Swift had a particularly memorable moment when her dancer, Kam Saunders, finally succeeded in getting a smile from the star during the intro for "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart" after many tries.
