Corinne Olympios on ‘Bachelor in Paradise’ scandal: ‘I don’t blame DiMario’
Bachelor in Paradise contestant Corinne Olympios sat down with Chris Harrison and shared her side of the story for the alleged sexual misconduct between her and fellow contestant DeMario Jackson. Harrison started off the interview by asking Olympios how she was doing in the wake of all the tabloids and accusations. Olympios said “I am doing a lot better.” Olympios had trouble recounting exact moments from the night saying, “The first day -- unfortunately, I don't remember much of. I definitely over-drank. I did. I, you know, was also on some medication that you're not supposed to drink on, which I didn't know.” Olympios claimed the new drug she was taking had adverse affects while drinking. She said, “Like, it can look like you're totally present and you're totally there and your mind is just not anywhere near. I mean, it impairs your judgment. It completely, like, unbalances you. I mean, it's just crazy.” When asked if she would like to say anything to DiMario Jackson, Olympios said, “I would want to tell him, ‘You know, listen, like, I respect you as a human. Um, I have nothing against you. I'm so sorry that you had to go through this. I know exactly what it feels like. I had to go through it, too. And I wish you all the best, and I'm just -- I'm sorry.’"
