Miranda Lambert might be a mainstay at the CMA Awards and ACM Awards, but this year marked her first-ever appearance on the VMAs red carpet. On Wednesday, September 11, the “Wranglers” singer stepped out in New York City with husband Brendan McLoughlin to attend the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards.
While Miranda wasn’t personally nominated for any awards, she took this year’s show as an opportunity to cheer on pal Morgan Wallen (who was up for Song of the Summer and Best Collaboration) and to present the award for Song of the Year. She also reminded fans, once again, that she might be country, but she knows how to dress up, too.
“My first rodeo at @vmas ??,” she captioned a carousel of photos from the big night. In them, Miranda and Brendan can be seen rocking coordinating all-black suit ensembles. While Brendan looks dapper, it’s Miranda’s outfit that really makes a statement. The 40-year-old singer wore a waist-accentuating Roberto Cavalli blazer with turquoise-beaded black and white lapels and a turquoise rhinestone Fleur du Mal bralette underneath. To say she looked stunning is an understatement—and fans were quick to take note.
“When did they release the Miranda Barbie,” one fan gushed in her comments section. “Dayum sister ??????,” someone else wrote. “Lordy lady!!! ???? You're on fire!!! And that outfit is INCREDIBLE,” another fan exclaimed. “Absolutely slaying it QUEEN??,” someone else chimed in. Even Lainey Wilson commented: "Dang you’re hot ??," and Abby Smyers said, "Sheesh!!"
As exciting as Miranda’s first VMA experience was, it was but a blip in her week’s highlight reel. After all, the country icon’s 10th studio album, Postcards From Texas, debuts at 12 a.m. on Friday, September 13. While you eagerly await its release, consider ordering a Postcards From Texas vinyl. The turquoise records are sure to stand out amongst your collection.
