Country star Kane Brown to headline Guy Fieri's Flavortown Festival in June
Country megastar Kane Brown, who began his career as a viral sensation on social media, along with rockers Greta Van Fleet and Poison frontman Bret Michaels, will headline Guy Fieri’s Flavortown Fest on June 1-2.
The gregarious Fieri, a Columbus native, announced in November that he would be bringing the two-day celebration of food and music to The Lawn at CAS, 2540 Olentangy River Road. The culinary superstar also will open an as yet-unnamed Italian restaurant this spring at Eldorado Scioto Downs, 6000 S. High St.
Like its namesake, Flavortown Fest promises to be " bold, loud … and full of flavor with unparalleled surprises," according to a press release.
Two-day passes for the Flavortown Fest, available at flavortownfest.com, are $155 for general admission, and $215 for general admission-plus, which comes with perks such as access to an exclusive lounge. Two-day VIP passes cost $465 and come with even more benefit,s including the best views with access to an elevated view deck and lounge adjacent to the Main Stage, and a reserved pit area in front of the stage.

Raised in rural Georgia and Chattanooga, Tennessee, Kane Brown gained a devoted fan base for his homemade videos on Facebook. Just shy of his 22nd birthday, his rendition of George Strait's "Check Yes or No" in 2015 went viral, receiving more than 7 million views and hiking his number of Facebook followers to more than a million.
His social-media success led him to release a teaser of his own single, "Used to Love You Sober," which amassed a million views in less than three hours and more than 11 million views in two weeks.
Brown made history in 2017 by being the first artist ever to achieve No. 1 on all five U.S. Billboard country charts — topping the Hot Country Songs, Country Airplay, Top Country Albums, Country Streaming Songs and Country Digital Songs charts simultaneously.
The prolific 30-year-old has scored numerous hits including the No. 1 smashes, "Heaven," "Lose It," "Good As You," "Famous Friends" with Chris Young," "Bury Me in Georgia," “What Ifs” with friend and former classmate Lauren Alaina and "Thank God," recorded with his wife, Katelyn.
Consisting of twins Josh on vocals and guitarist Jake Kiszka, along with their brother Sam on bass and keyboards and drummer Danny Wagner, Michigan-based Greta Van Fleet formed in 2012. Often compared to Led Zeppelin, the band has been alternately classified as hard rock, blues rock and progressive rock.
They released a debut EP in early 2017, followed later that year by a single, "Highway Tune," which topped the Billboard U.S. Mainstream Rock and Active Rock charts in 2017 for four consecutive weeks. Their second EP, "From the Fires," won the 2019 Grammy Award for Best Rock Album.

Since then, Greta Van Fleet has toured extensively and earned millions of U.S. on-demand streams of their catalog, as well as an impressive number of digital downloads of their songs.
Since 1983, Bret Michaels has fronted the "hair metal" band Poison, known for such hits as “Nothing But A Good Time,” "I Won't Forget You," "Talk Dirty to Me" and the No. 1 power ballad “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.” He also has released several solo albums as well as a 2020 autobiography, "Bret Michaels: Auto-Scrap-ography Volume 1: My Life in Pictures & Stories," the first in a trilogy.
In addition to Michaels, Brown and Greta Van Fleet will be joined on the Main Stage by country duo LOCASH and country-pop singer Niko Moon, who has penned songs for Dierks Bentley, the Zac Brown Band, Rascal Flatts and Morgan Wallen.
