For the first night of 2024 Creative Arts Emmys coverage on Saturday, September 7, Gold Derby was backstage in the press room as the winners answered journalists’ questions. The ceremony took place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, where 50 awards were handed out over two and a half hours. Among the big-name winners who visited the press room for in-depth Q&As were Angela Bassett (“Queens”), Dick Van Dyke (who didn’t actually win the Emmy but was celebrated in “98 Years of Magic”) and Maya Rudolph (“Big Mouth”).
