Critics Choice Awards 2025: Best prediction scores by Gold Derby experts, editors, and users
Congratulations to Gold Derby user JessiBlady for a terrific score of 90.48 percent in predicting the 2025 Critics Choice Awards film winners on Friday night. Our top scorer is actually tied with Christian.theo but has the better point score of 13,531 by using the two Super Bets (500 points each) wisely.
A total of 3,081 people worldwide predicted these movie champs, with our top scorer correctly predicting 19 of 21 winners. Among the long shots picked accurately were Anora for Best Picture and Conclave for Best Ensemble.

Of the 23 experts who predicted, Cole Jaeger (The Oscar Expert) is in the top spot with 85.71 percent. Eng is then tied with Matt Neglia (Next Best Picture) with 80.95 percent. Next up are Tariq Khan (KSDK) and Anne Thompson (Indiewire) with 71.43 percent. Tied with 66.67 percent are Mark Johnson (The Contending), Nikki Novak (Fandango), and Rosen. Following with 61.9 percent are Clayton Davis (Variety), Wilson Morales (BlackFilmandTV), and Jenelle Riley (Variety). The next group with 57.14 percent has Erik Davis (Fandango), Hanh Nguyen (Salon), and Jazz Tangcay (Variety). We then have Birnbaum, Kate Erbland (Indiewire), Scott Feinberg (Hollywood Reporter), Richmond, and Peter Travers (ABC). For the TV categories, a total of 1,665 people wordwide made predictions. The top user is Cheeser111 with 14 of 16 categories correct for 85.5 percent accuracy.
