‘Daily Show’s’ Larry Wilmore to Guest on USA’s ‘Playing House’

Emmy winner Larry Wilmore takes on the role of an OB/GYN as a guest star on an upcoming episode of USA Network’s new comedy “Playing House.”
The laffer traces the lives of childhood best friends Maggie and Emma who prepare to raise a baby together after Maggie discovers that her husband is having an affair. Lennon Parham stars as Maggie alongside Jessica St. Clair as Emma. Both actresses also serve as co-exec producers.
Wilmore be featured as Maggie’s reassuring doctor who finds himself charged the task of calming Emma’s anxieties about childbirth.
He most recently hosted the comedy special “Larry Wilmore’s Race, Religion & Sex” and also makes regular appearances on “The Daily Show.” Wilmore won an Emmy in 2002 for his work as a writer for “The Bernie Mac Show.”
Other announced guest stars include Bobby Moynihan, Lindsay Sloane, Jason Mantzoukas, Ian Roberts, Andy Daly, John Lutz and Ryan McPartlin.
“Playing House” bows this spring.
