‘Dancing With The Stars’ Maker BBC Worldwide Prods Appoints Trio Of SVPs

EXCLUSIVE: LA-based BBC Worldwide Productions, the company behind such shows as ABC’s Dancing With The Stars, BBC America’s Intruders and HBO’s Criminal Justice, has made a trio of key appointments. Former ITV exec Julie Haley has been hired as SVP, Business and Legal Affairs for BBCWP and its Adjacent Productions (Starz’s Da Vinci’s Demons). She’ll oversee the business and legal affairs team and the negotiation of deals for the development and production of all scripted and unscripted shows under both labels. Also, Carol Turner and Debby Reid Vigna have both been promoted to SVPs, Unscripted Production.

Turner will continue to manage the execution of unscripted shows currently in production and development under both labels. Titles Turner oversees include Ladies Of London (Bravo), Breaking Pointe (The CW) and the upcoming Mud, Sweat And Gears (BBC America). She has been VP, Unscripted Production at BBCWP since 2010. Prior to her role as a VP, she was Executive in Charge of Production. Her other credits include such HBO specials as Rolling Stones Live, Justin Timberlake: Futuresex/Loveshow – Live from Madison Square Garden, and Will Ferrell: You’re Welcome America.

Reid Vigna will work as counterpart to Turner. Series under the exec include Dancing With The Stars (ABC), Top Gear (HISTORY), Life Below Zero (National Geographic Channel) and the upcoming Survival Live (Discovery). Prior to joining BBCWP in 2010, Reid Vigna served for 14 years as the SVP, Production at GRB Entertainment. Her credits there include Intervention (A&E), Next Action Star and Growing Up Gotti (A&E). She also previously was Executive in Charge of Production at ITV.
