Danica McKellar Says Her “Wonder Years ”Castmates ‘Hadn’t Been Together’ in More Than 20 Years Until Fanboy Expo Reunion
"So great to be with my 'Wonder Years' family this weekend," McKellar said after reuniting at the Fanboy Expo
Growing up may happen in a heartbeat, but growing apart is not an option for the cast of The Wonder Years.
Danica McKellar, 49, shared a look at the cast’s latest reunion at the Fanboy Expo in Knoxville, Tennessee, which included a special luncheon and some behind-the-scenes fun as they signed autographs for fans.
The actress, who played Winnie Cooper in the popular show, gave fans a glimpse of the reunion on her Instagram Stories on Friday, July 12, asking them to “guess who I’m with.” She then showed a restaurant table filled with several of her Wonder Years costars Dan Lauria, Josh Saviano, Alley Mills and Jason Hervey.
Lauria played the Arnold patriarch in the coming-of-age series which ran from 1988 to 1993, while Mills played his wife. Saviano played protagonist Kevin’s nerdy best friend while Hervey played Kevin’s older brother. Fred Savage who played Kevin was missing from the reunion.

“Why do these people look familiar?,” the actress said jokingly in the video. “We’re missing Olivia [d’Abo], but we’re here for the autograph convention.”
She then shared a group photo of herself and the other four actors smiling together as they posed at the convention, and noted in the caption that it had been a long time for this “particular” group of actors to come together.
“I mean, c'mon...! ?? So great to be with my Wonder Years family this weekend!,” she wrote. “Sure, we've all seen each other through the years (just saw Dan & Josh last month, in fact!), but we realized this particular grouping hadn't been together in well over 20 years...!”

She reshared the post on her Instagram Stories with the TV show’s signature theme song, Joe Cocker’s "With a Little Help from My Friends" and a GIF of herself putting her hands to her heart.
In a follow-up video, McKellar also showed the cast signing autographs at their various tables set up next to each other. “Here’s Jason and he looks amazing,” she said as she panned the camera to him and he gave a little wave.
“There’s Ally Mills. Say, ‘Hi,’ ” she told the actress who gave a “hello” before saying, “Good morning from Knoxville.” The Swing into Romance actress then panned the camera to Lauria who was mid-autograph and also gave a wave.
She finally walked over to Saviano’s table and he showed off what appeared to be a Wonder Years vinyl that he was signing. McKellar said that she “signed it already,” to which Saviano responded, “Because they want you first.”
