Danielle Misher To Head Marketing For Screen Gems
Danielle Misher has been promoted to Executive Vice President, Marketing for Screen Gems. The move is being made by Josh Greenstein, Sony Entertainment president of Worldwide Marketing and Distribution. She will report to Dwight Caines, president of Domestic Theatrical Marketing for Sony Pictures Entertainment. Misher will spearhead the marketing for Clint Culpepper’s division, overseeing the creation of campaigns that will encompass trailers, posters, television ads, and publicity. As SVP, Misher led publicity campaigns for films that included Think Like A Man, Underworld, the Resident Evil franchise, The Wedding Ringer, Heaven Is For Real and Easy A.
Greenstein called her campaigns “both innovative and incredibly effective. Those first-rate instincts for understanding what resonates with audiences will be a great asset in her expanded role.”
Said Screen Gems president Culpepper: “I’ve worked very closely with Danielle for 13 years and am convinced that there is not a better executive out there for this position, and I am thrilled that she accepted this new role. Danielle is an incredibly gifted marketer who has already earned the deep respect of the entire executive team and of our filmmakers. I look forward to an exciting and successful partnership with her.”
Misher joined Screen Gems in 2002 as vice president in the publicity department and rose to SVP when she first branched into marketing. Before that she was a senior publicist at MGM and started at Rogers & Cowan.
