Dax Shepard Shut Down This Major Rumor About His Marriage to Kristen Bell
Being a celebrity comes with its pros and cons, from having a platform to champion your favorite causes to seeing rumors about you online, being famous must be tough. For Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell, one of Hollywood’s most beloved power couples, they’re not strangers to seeing some odd rumors about them circling about.
“The most exciting tabloid story was that we were Hollywood swingers,” Shepard said on the Sept. 9 episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, per E! News. “We were swingers and we hosted swing parties. This was in the tabloids.”

Hearing the news, Shepard and Bell laughed it off, just like their friends.
“My favorite part of that happening was we got a lot of texts from other friends of ours saying, ‘How could you not have invited me to the swinger party?’” Shepard hilariously remembered. “And they were joking, of course, because they know us, and they know we’re not hosting swinger parties.”
“It was great to receive a text from [Jimmy] Kimmel saying, ‘My feelings are quite hurt that Molly and I weren’t invited to this swinger party,'” he said of the late-night host.
Jokes aside, Shepard confirmed that there’s no swinging going on in the Shepard-Bell household. “There’s a lot of hot couples out there, but we haven’t crossed that divide with anyone,” he said.
After all, Shepard and Bell, who share daughters Lincoln, 11, and Delta, 9, have always seemed way too smitten with each other anyways.
“He has a presence,” Bell said of her first impression of her longtime husband in a recent episode of Where Everybody Knows Your Name with Ted Danson & Woody Harrelson (Sometimes). “A protectiveness and he has very broad shoulders. He’s like an upside-down triangle, but my main takeaway was that he was chatty.” Looks like Shepard quickly turned that around!
