Demi Lovato shares 1st Instagram since rehab — from the polls: 'I am so grateful to be home in time to vote!'
Demi Lovato has been knocking around L.A. since she completed her 90-day stint in rehab, but she surfaced online for the first time on Tuesday, when she shared a photo of herself voting and urged her followers to also exercise their right.
“I am so grateful to be home in time to vote,” wrote Lovato, who looked glam even while dressed down in a jean jacket.

The comments from fans poured in and included sprays of hearts, queen emojis, and lots of “welcome back” love.
Scrubbed from Lovato’s Instagram feed, however, was her post from August — the only public statement since her reportedly near-fatal overdose on July 24 — in which she talked about her “journey with addiction” and how it’s something she must “continue to overcome and have not done yet.” She had also thanked God “for keeping me alive and well.” Perhaps deleting that last post was part of Lovato making a fresh start.
The “Sober” singer reportedly OD’d after freebasing fentanyl-laced Oxycodone and went through extensive treatment until quite recently. Though she was photographed only once during a rehab outing near the East Coast facility, she resurfaced in Los Angeles last weekend upon her release.
Much has since been made about her companion, a clothing designer named Henry Levy, whom she has been photographed with more than once in the last few days. (One time, they were holding hands.) TMZ reported that he has his own drug history, having gone in and out of rehab since he was a teen. Radar Online obtained a lawsuit against him that claimed he used drugs and used racist language. Another tabloid, Hollywood Life, claimed Lovato’s ex Wilmer Valderrama fears for her health amid these reports about the “romance” (which may not be a romance at all).
For now, it remains to be seen how long Lovato will stay in Los Angeles, where the overdose occurred and where she had reportedly surrounded herself with enablers. She put her house there — where she was found unconscious — on the market, and even dropped the price. Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin were among those to look at the property.
