The long-awaited Destiny 2 expansion The Final Shape is finally here, and with a big new launch comes a bevy of issues. Namely, servers immediately went down, halting gameplay for nearly every player and leaving everyone wondering when they would be able to play.
But that’s not all. With Destiny 2: The Final Shape being the close of the main storyline in the Light and Darkness series, many players are also worried this may be the last time they experience a launch day for Destiny.
Now that the Destiny 2 servers are back up and running, the main thing players are looking for is answers on how to unlock the exclusive new Subclass that will grant them some impressive power upgrades.

Will The Final Shape be the end of Destiny 2?
Don't worry, The Final Shape won't be the last DLC expansion for Destiny 2. You might even see some Episode updates throughout the rest of 2024.
However, The Final Shape is the last chapter in the Light and Darkness series that has been going for a decade now. This final chapter comes with some huge updates, including updating the core gameplay system, and a new raid, enemies and dungeons.
It'll be up to you to journey into the heart of the Traveler, rally the Vanguard and end the War of Light and Darkness once and for all.

How long will Destiny 2 be down for Final Shape?
With such a massive and highly anticipated expansion like The Final Shape, it's no surprise that the Destiny 2 servers are having a hard time managing the massive amount of people trying to log on and play.
If you thought preloading your game ahead of time would help, I'm sorry to say that the issue lies with getting into the game itself. Just 30 minutes after its launch, players were hit with an error message announcing the servers were completely down.
At the time of publication, it doesn't appear the servers are back on yet. The @BungieHelp account on X posted that players having issues logging on could try to restart their game, console or launcher to fix the issue, and confirmed that background server maintenance has been extended.
What does The Final Shape mean in Destiny 2?
This final chapter in the Light and Darkness series is the culmination of the Destiny franchise, with players finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel they've been working their way out of for years.
While this expansion is being marketed like it could be the end of Destiny, there will still be some loose ends to tie up and several new episodes are slated to release this year.
According to destinypedia.com/Final_Shape, the new title is "the name used to describe the ultimate goal of the Witness, and possibly the Darkness itself."

How to enhance weapons in Destiny 2?
Here's how to enhance your weapons in Destiny 2 once the servers are back up:
Acquire your Adept Raid gun by completing a Master raid challenge.
Open your inventory and select the red node that says "enhance weapon."
Pay 12 Spoils of Conquest, 10,000 Glimmer, 27 Legendary Shards and 20 Enhancement Cores.
After you complete all of the above, your weapon will turn into a "crafted" state and then you'll have to level it up to 11, where you'll have to purchase more materials to upgrade it before leveling it up to 17 and paying for more materials to finish enhancing it.
What is The Final Shape prismatic Subclass?
The Prismatic Subclass in Destiny 2: The Final Shape is a different type Subclass that is exclusive to this new expansion.
Basically, it allows players to combine elements from other Subclasses into one, giant super Subclass and it's also the only way you can go Transcendent in The Final Shape.
How does the prismatic Subclass work?
According to ign.com, "the Prismatic subclass allows you to wield the powers of Light and Darkness simultaneously, letting you experiment and combine various different abilities that were impossible before."
The Super, Grenade, Melee and Aspect damage types will have a selection of Light and Darkness abilities and you can tailor your experience even more by choosing from the available movement modes, class abilities and by picking a new subclass-specific options like Acrobat's Dodge, Phoenix Dive and Thruster.
And it's also important to note that as a Prismatic there will be a new bar beneath the Super energy meter and as you dole out either Light or Darkness damage and as the bars fill, Transcendence will become available to use.
And this will give players a new grenade that is unique to the player's class. Hunters will have Hailfire Spike, Titans will have Electrified Snare and Warlocks will have Freezing Singularity.
How to unlock prismatic supers?
Now that you're all caught up on this new subclass in Destiny 2: The Final Shape, here's how to unlock the Prismatic subclass:
In the first campaign mission, visit the war table room in the old Tower in The Pale Heart and interact with Prismatic Conflux to obtain the subclass.
Open the Prismatic chests as rewards during the campaign mission.
Complete the quests "Lost in the Light" and "Found in the Dark" from your Ghost in The Pale Heart. Both can be obtained during the quest "Destined Heroes" after finishing the main campaign.
Stages 1, 3 and 5 of each quest will unlock an item or two for the Prismatic subclass.
To unlock all of the Prismatic subclass grenades and melee attacks, complete the main story missions and finish the Light and Dark quests.
