Diane Keaton, Kathy Bates and Alfre Woodard Bond in Hysterical “Summer Camp” Trailer (Exclusive)

Diane Keaton, Kathy Bates and Alfre Woodard are going back to camp together.
PEOPLE has the exclusive first trailer for the comedy Summer Camp, starring the trio of actresses in a cast that also includes Dennis Haysbert, Eugene Levy, Josh Peck, Nicole Richie, Betsy Sodaro and Beverly D’Angelo.
Written and directed by Castille Landon (After Everything), Summer Camp is about Nora (Keaton), Ginny (Bates) and Mary (Woodard), who have been "best friends since being inseparable at summer camp," per a synopsis.
"As the years have passed, they’ve seen each other less and less, so when the chance to reunite for a summer camp reunion arises, they all take it, some begrudgingly and others excitedly."

The synopsis teases that Nora, Ginny and Mary's lives "might not be where they’d imagined," but they are reminded that they "need each other, and summer camp reminds them why."
Woodard, 71, says of her interest in joining this project, “All I ever really wanted to do is go outside and play!”

Also a producer on the movie, Keaton, 78, tells PEOPLE that the "scariest" scene she had for the film involved river rafting. "The complete terror on my face says it all. I was nervous in the water and very anxious."
She adds of her costars, "Any scene with the three of us together was full of laughter and was the most fun. Both Alfre and Kathy are such kind, warm and wonderful women."
Keaton also highlights her onscreen romantic interest, Schitt's Creek star Levy, 77, "Don’t forget the kissing scene with Eugene. Now that was a treat."
Summer Camp is in theaters May 31.
