Diane Keaton responds after her wallet is found 50 years later: 'This is the craziest story!'
Diane Keaton’s old wallet has been recovered 50 years after it went missing. She hasn’t exactly been looking around for it, though, since the Annie Hall star doesn’t remember losing it in the first place.
Treasure hunter Anton Lulgjuraj recovered the item after purchasing the contents of an abandoned storage locker in Brewster, N.Y. Inside the unit, he also found a brown leather pocketbook and a stack of 32 personal and family snapshots. The name on the 1966 California driver’s license was Diane Hall, but he recognized the face immediately.
“I opened it up and thought, ‘Is this Diane Keaton, the actress? It couldn’t be. Or maybe it could,’” Lulgjuraj, 45, told the New York Daily News. The contents appeared to be at least 50 years old. “It was like a time capsule,” he said.
The wallet also contained Keaton’s Actors’ Equity card, which expired in 1968. It was likely The Godfather star’s first such card using her stage name, Diane Keaton.
The 72-year-old actress caught wind of the story on Twitter. She quipped, “I don’t [remember] losing this but I’m not surprised because I’ve lost my wallet many times!”
This is the craziest story! I don’t remeber losing this but I’m not surprised because I’ve lost my wallet many times! Thank you, Mr. Lulgjuraj! https://t.co/bfLaG9oD1P

Lulgjuraj explained that he’s not looking for a reward but simply wants to return the family photos and personal items to the actress. Maybe a selfie could be worked out in exchange.
