Love Is Blind season 8 saw five couples leave for a tropical getaway in Honduras after sparking a connection in the pods, however, there was a duo that fans didn’t see. Brittany Dodson, a.k.a. B Dot, got engaged in the pods to Mo Ndiaye after ending her connection with Devin Buckley.
Did ‘Love Is Blind’ Star Brittany Dodson Get Engaged During Season 8?
Brittany allegedly got engaged to Mo after connecting with him in the pods on their heritage, TikTok creator StorytimeWithRikkii, revealed in a video clip posted on February 20, 2025.
“Senegalese vs. African American, so he was well aware that she was Black,” a source close to the situation alleged to the TikTok creator. “Yet, he neglected to mention that he had never dated a Black woman before and proposed anyways.”
According to the source, Brittany suggested they skip the cast’s trip to Honduras and instead get to know each other “on their own time back home.” The insider then explained, “One day on a date, [Brittany] found out that he had exclusively dated white woman and said he wasn’t sure he would ever be able to ‘get there’ with a Black woman, so she ended the engagement.”
Brittany has yet to break her silence, however, Mo allegedly did repost StorytimeWithRikkii's TikTok video to his Instagram page with several laughing emojis.
Why Wasn’t Brittany and Mo’s Engagement Shown on ‘Love Is Blind’?
It’s unclear why Brittany and Mo’s relationship wasn’t highlighted during season 8 of Love Is Blind. On her “Reality Receipts” podcast, StorytimeWithRikkii claimed that she had been told Mo “was a little problematic” in the pods.
Mo responded to her claims in the comments, writing, “problematic? And who ended what?” adding eye emojis.
Fellow Love Is Blind season 8 cast member Molly Mullaney stepped into the conversation and directly responded to Mo, writing, “Oh, you don’t remember the problematic things you said? … That’s crazy since you were telling me weeks ago how bad you felt about them.”
Molly also questioned the claim about Mo being the person to break the engagement. “If we’re going to get into semantics about the break up I have A LOT to say about that too so don’t even try it,” she continued.
Mo doubled back in the comment section and seemingly hinted that Brittany turned down the post engagement getaway. “She gave up our honeymoon spot? So someone else could go... What?! Was problematic to production so they cut all his scenes? Huh?!... That is all news to me,” he wrote. “And nothing wrong with apologizing to move on from a situation, regardless of right or wrong, especially when you get corned at a bar.”
He then went on to touch on his split from Brittany. “As far as who broke up with who ... Well I’ll leave that one alone no need to go there. Everybody got their side but I know my truth. I am glad you have A LOT to say about me and my own experience though,” he concluded.
