Did Yo Gotti Tease A Future Proposal On Angela Simmons’ Birthday?
Yo Gotti and Angela Simmons may be setting their sights on a more permanent commitment after her latest birthday celebration.
The rapper took his lady on a romantic getaway and captioned the video recap with “Happy Birthday Shawty #Foreva,” complete with red heart and fingers crossed emojis.
Simmons replied to the post of lavish gifts and intimate moments with “Love me some you.”
The “foreva” nod could a hint that Gotti has marriage on the brain, but neither party has expounded further. The two went public with their relationship in December 2022 when the rapper posted a video of Simmons with the caption, “Ain loss a crush since High School.”
The fashion entrepreneur also confirmed their romance when she posted photos of them together with the caption, “You are all I need and more.”
They were later spotted sitting courtside during the Memphis Grizzlies vs. Cleveland Cavaliers game the following month. Gotti and Simmons’ romance was seemingly manifested by him after he professed his admiration for her in songs dating back to 2015.
On his hit record, “Down In The DM,” he rapped “And I just followed Angela (Simmons) / Boy, I got a crush on Angela Simmons / They like, ‘Damn Gotti, you bold’ / f**k it, I’m gon’ let the world know.”
In 2017 on “Save It For Me”, the CMG boss rapped, “Passed my number to Angela, I thought I had her/ Her ni**a cuffed her, married, it made me madder/ I respect it, I’m moving on, but the truth is I want her badder/ Maybe me sayin’ her name made him move faster/ Maybe me bein’ a G was kind of bad for her/ But me bein’ a G, I was glad for her.”
Simmons was previously engaged to her child’s father, Sutton Tennyson, who was murdered at his Atlanta home in November 2018.
