Diddy Releases Statement After Fourth Alleged Victim Comes Forward: “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH”
Sean “Diddy” Combs has released a statement following a fourth woman accusing the mogul of sexual assault.
The Bad Boy founder took to Instagram Wednesday (Dec. 6) to proclaim his innocence once again, as he previously denied the heinous allegations upon singer and ex-girlfriend Cassie filing the initial lawsuit just weeks ago.
“ENOUGH IS ENOUGH”, the all-caps statement began. “FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF WEEKS, I HAVE SAT SILENTLY AND WATCHED PEOPLE TRY TO ASSASSINATE MY CHARACTER, DESTROY MY REPUTATION AND MY LEGACY. SICKENING ACCUSATIONS HAVE BEEN MADE AGAINST ME BY INDIVIDUALS LOOKING FOR A QUICK PAYDAY.
“LET ME BE ABSOLUTELY CLEAR,” he continued. “I DID NOT DO ANY OF THE AWFUL THINGS BEING ALLEGED. I WILL FIGHT FOR MY NAME, MY FAMILY AND FOR THE TRUTH. SEAN DIDDY COMBS.”
Cassie was the first to come forward with allegations in a lawsuit filed under the New York State Adult Survivors Act, where she accused Puff of several transgressions, including being physically and sexually abusive. The record label exec settled the suit less than 24 hours later, paying out an undisclosed amount as his lawyer released a statement claiming the deal should not be seen as an admission of guilt.
“Just so we’re clear, a decision to settle a lawsuit, especially in 2023, is in no way an admission of wrongdoing,” wrote attorney Ben Brafman in a statement. “Mr. Combs‘ decision to settle the lawsuit does not in any way undermine his flat-out denial of the claims. He is happy they got to a mutual settlement and wishes Ms. Ventura the best.”
Puff was soon hit with two more lawsuits. One alleged victim claims the producer drugged and assaulted her while she attended Syracuse University in 1991. She claims he also recorded the assault and showed the footage to multiple people. A third accuser claims Diddy and R&B singer Aaron Hall both took advantage of her at Hall’s apartment, adding that Puff allegedly visited her home days later and assaulted/choked her until she passed out.
Combs most recent accuser claims he was a part of a group of men who gang-raped her at 17 years old in 2003. According to the alleged victim, she was flown from Michigan to New York by the billionaire and was raped by three people, including former Bad Boy President, Harve Pierre, Variety reports.
Pierre was also recently hit with a sexual assault lawsuit under the Adult Survivors Act.
