DJ Fresh Says He’s Done Touring, Sick of ‘Fake, Soul Destroying’ Industry
Never has a winky-face emoji come off so dastardly. But then again, DJ Fresh is clearly very over it.
The English drum and bass hero took to Facebook on Saturday to announce his retirement from the road. In his post, he cited a complete disdain for the dance music industry, although he makes certain to leave his label and other kind labels out of it.

“I cannot continue to be part of this industry,” he wrote. “I hate everything about it. It’s fake, soul destroying and promotes everything BUT experimentation and heartfelt emotion (which is what music means to me).”
While Fresh doesn’t mention any retirement from producing, it does seem that if you care to see him on behind the decks make sure you do it before the new year.
