Does Maria leave 'The Bachelor' tonight? And did she really say that to Lea? How to watch

It's a special week for "The Bachelor" Season 28, with two back-to-back episodes full of drama.

Episode 4 aired on Monday, Feb. 12, and ended with a cliffhanger: Maria Georgas wanted to leave the show. You can see how it all plays out Tuesday night during Episode 5.

On Monday, Bachelor Joey Graziadei, a 28-year-old tennis pro, headed to Malta with the 15 remaining women. He started off the trip on a one-on-one date with Lexi, a 30-year-old digital strategy manager from Ohio.

Graziadei then had a group date with Jenn, Daisy, Edwina, Katelyn, Allison, Rachel, Autumn, Kelsey T., Jess, Madina, Lea and Kelsey A. where the women trained to be knights and competed in medieval costumes.

The episode then saw Joey going on a two-on-one date with Maria and Sydney at The Blue Grotto. That’s where things took a turn.

Here's how to watch Episode 5 of "The Bachelor" tonight. Warning: Here come spoilers for Episode 4.

Does Maria leave 'The Bachelor'?

During the two-on-one date, Graziadei had to choose who to send home: Maria or Sydney. Maria does not get sent home; Sydney does.

Did Maria tell Lea to 'shut the f--- up'?

During the two-on-one date, Maria tells Joey that after he left the pool party, all hell broke loose.

“Maria … started attacking me in front of the group and this was like, the first time the girls were trying to step in and then she told Lea to ‘shut the (expletive) up,’” Sydney said.

Maria denied these accusations when Joey asked her about them. She said she would never say something so vulgar.

No footage was shown of her making the remark.

Who is Lea from 'The Bachelor'?

Lea Cayanan is a 23-year-old account manager from Hawaii. She was in the crowd during "After the Final Rose" in August 2023 and was selected to join Graziadei’s season. She was given a mystery envelope and opened it when she arrived at the mansion.

The mystery envelope let her steal a one-on-one date from a contestant, but Lea burned this advantage. She said that if she and Joey form a strong connection it will be because of their chemistry, not stealing a date from someone else.

She took on a more vocal role during Episode 4 after Sydney got sent home. Lea was upset that Madina was being nice to Maria because Maria's and Sydney's argument started due to Madina's comment on being insecure about her age.

“I don’t have to be mean to Maria because Sydney was my friend,” Madina said.

Maria was frustrated with the situation and said it hurt her feelings that other women felt offended by Madina being nice to her. She walked away crying and Lea said she was glad that happened, calling Maria a “drama queen crybaby.”

Lea also talked to Graziadei, saying she and others were shocked about his decision to keep Maria.

Who is Lexi on 'The Bachelor'

During Episode 4, Lexi went on a one-on-one date with Joey where they do some shopping, try local pastries, play bocce ball and dance. They also visit a church and talk to a priest.

During the evening portion of the date, Lexi gets honest with Graziadei telling him she was diagnosed with stage 5 endometriosis, which could make it difficult for her to have children.

Joey told her there are other ways to create a family and that it doesn’t scare him away. He ends up giving her a rose.

When does Maria go home on 'The Bachelor'?

Although Maria ends Episode 4 telling producers she is out and “they win," Reality Steve claims that Maria is actually among Graziadei’s final four.
