Donald Trump Sets Interview With Fox News’ Sean Hannity On Thursday
Possibly motivated by the ratings for his Oval Office speech this week, President Donald Trump will sit for an exclusive interview by Fox News host Sean Hannity on Thursday.
The cable news outlet said tonight that the two old pals will be on Hannity to discuss Trump’s ongoing battle with Democrats on the government shutdown along with his plans for border security. It will be their first public appearance together since Hannity joined th president onstage at a pre-midterms rally November 5 in Missouri, though Trump did appear on Fox News Channel’s New Year’s Eve special.
The Hannity sit-down comes on the heels of the president’s first address to the nation Tuesday, when he painted a picture of the southern border as a dystopian wasteland creating a “humanitarian crisis – a crisis of the heart and crisis of the soul” in America. He stopped short, however, of declaring it a national emergency, as he had hinted last week that he would.
Fox News is coming off another year of leading all of basic cable in the ratings, the most-watched year in its 22-year history. The numbers were fueled by Hannity, who clocked a second consecutive year as host of cable news’ most watched primetime program, averaging 3.28M viewers.
