Donna Brazile lashes out at RNC chair: 'Go to hell'
Strategist and pundit Donna Brazile is known for her involvement in politics, and after her appearance on Fox News on Tuesday morning, she’s now known for something else: raising “hell.”
Brazile lashed out at Ronna McDaniel, chair of the Republican National Committee, after McDaniel raised the possibility of a brokered convention for Democrats that would be “rigged against Bernie [Sanders].”
“I want to talk to my Republicans. First of all, stay the hell out of our race,” responded Brazile, when asked about McDaniel’s earlier remarks.
She added, “For people to use Russian talking points to sow division among Americans — that is stupid. So Ronna, go to hell!”
Brazile’s accusations of McDaniel using “Russian talking points” comes on the heels of reports that Russia may be attempting to interfere with the upcoming election in order to help Bernie Sanders’s campaign.
McDaniel hit back at the Fox News contributor in a Twitter post, writing:
It’s ok, @donnabrazile.
I’d be having a bad day too if my party was still hopelessly divided.
Talk of a brokered convention and the DNC trying to stop Bernie obviously hit a little close to home.— Ronna McDaniel (@GOPChairwoman) March 3, 2020
Viewers took to Twitter with their reactions, with some saying that Brazile’s comment wasn’t appropriate:
@donnabrazile has already proved her ethical character (sneaking questions to Hillary), now she wants to prove how classy she can be. I think its time for Joe, Bernie and Donna to quietly retire - exit stage right!

Hateful and disrespectful. She should be boycotted.

I’ll tell you what - I trust @GOPChairwoman 1,000,000 times more than I trust @donnabrazile - and I bet even Democrats would admit that.

But others applauded Brazile, a former campaign manager for Al Gore and interim chair for the Democratic National Committee.
I have newfound respect for Donna! Go, gurl!

Big ups to @donnabrazile for telling the hypocritical & hyper sensitive GOP the appropriate place to go💯🤣
