Dr. Zoot to perform at next Bainbridge Swing Dance

Sep. 9—The next Bainbridge Swing Dance is set for Oct. 5 and will feature Dr. Zoot.

The dance takes place on the first Saturday of every month at Family Life Center, 16349 Chillicothe Road, with doors opening at 7:30 p.m., lesson at 8 and dance and live music from 9 to 11, according to a news release

Dr. Zoot performs in theaters, clubs, dance halls and festivals. Since the band formed in early 1998 their popularity has been growing rapidly nationally and internationally, the release stated.

Experienced and non-experienced dancers are welcome, and this public, family-friendly event is open to all ages, the release stated. No partner is required for the lesson or the dance, and no registration is needed.

Admission — cash or check — is $10 per child 12 years and younger, $15 per person 13 and older, and $40 per family.
