Drake Covers ‘The Drake’ Fly Fishing Magazine
Drake’s latest magazine shoot takes him outdoors. The Toronto rapper has landed the cover of The Drake: For Those Who Fish. The seasonal print mag shared the image on social media, detailing what subjects would be covered in the Fall 2024 issue.
In the photo, the “God’s Plan” rapper stands in a creek with water reaching just above his ankles. He is dressed in a bold print windbreaker and cap, holding a fishing rod. Another man, also fly fishing, appears in the background in the grass and trees.
“Headed your way: The Babine, Boise, albies, musky, Champagne Papi, carp, Owyhee Canyonlands; backcountry Sierra, smallmouth; Susitna, South Carolina, sea-run brown trout, and the Atlantic salmon legacy of Bill Taylor,” promises The Drake in its Instagram caption.
“We finally got THE drake on the drake magazine. what a time to be alive,” exclaimed one of the top comments.
The magazine is Drake’s first editorial since sparring with Kendrick Lamar earlier this year and the appearance could signal a new chapter in the rapper’s novel of a year. The publication is due as autumn continues to set in, and fans of “The Boy” were promised a collaborative album with PartyNextDoor “when it gets a little chilly.”
The Drake magazine is described as a grassroots journal for fly fishing enthusiasts. According to the official website, it was founded in Jackson Hole, WY, in the summer of 1998 on the principle that too much contemporary outdoor writing gives away all the answers to people who never learned what the questions were.
