Dua Lipa Channels ‘90s Glamour in Archival Jean Paul Gaultier Gown for Royal Albert Hall Performance
Dua Lipa delivered old-school glamour during her performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall on Thursday. The “Dance The Night” singer was accompanied by a live orchestra for the intimate concert.
For the performance, Lipa wore an archival piece courtesy of Jean Paul Gautier. The custom look featured a fiery red strapless silhouette with a corseted bodice and sweetheart neckline.

The vibrant gown’s skirt had a thigh-high slit. Lipa added a sheer burgundy scarf that matched her long opera gloves.
Lipa’s raven-black hair complemented her old-school glamour aesthetic, styled with a side part and subtle waves. Her makeup featured soft elements, including a pink lip, contrasting with bold brows and a vibrant smokey eye.
Lipa’s look was curated by stylist Jahleel Weaver, who also styled her for Glastonbury performance last June. Weaver has collaborated with stars like Rihanna and styled Taylor Russell for the Venice Film Festival last August.
Embracing vintage and archival pieces has become a key element of Lipa’s recent red carpet style. Before her Royal Albert Hall performance, she attended the iHeart Radio Music Festival 2024 red carpet on Sept. 20.
For the occasion, Weaver styled Lipa in a silk halter top with crystal embellishments, which was coordinated with a black skirt that included a high slit via a full-length zipper. The ensemble came courtesy of Ann Demeulemeester’s spring 2006 collection.
Weaver has been styling Dua Lipa throughout 2024. Along with her recent red carpet appearances and Royal Albert Hall performance, Weaver styled Lipa for the 2024 Met Gala in May, where she wore a custom Marc Jacobs gown with Tiffany & Co. jewelry.
