Dwayne Johnson serenades Stephen Colbert with sweet Samoan song
Dwayne Johnson was in high spirits when he visited The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Johnson’s mood might have had something to do with the tequila shot he and Stephen Colbert took during the interview.
After enjoying a drink, Colbert asked the actor to sing a song in Samoan. Johnson, who played a singing Samoan in the Disney film Moana, didn’t hesitate.
After serenading Colbert, he translated the lyrics: “It means, like, ‘Answer me oh my love, just what it is that I am guilty of.‘” Johnson added, “I will say I have never looked a man directly in the eye when I sang that.”
Colbert then tried to set up Johnson’s latest film, Skyscraper. But the star had other ideas as he cut off the host and shouted, “To hell with the movie, let’s drink!”
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert airs weeknights at 11:35 on CBS.
