Dylan McDermott tells horrifying story of almost eating a woman's chin hair

You'll never see chocolate croissants the same.

Dylan McDermott nearly got himself into a particularly hairy situation while indulging in a chocolate croissant.

During a Thursday appearance on Live With Kelly and Mark, the FBI: Most Wanted actor recounted the horrifying event in which he almost consumed a pastry garnished with a woman's chin hair.

McDermott revealed to hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos that he hadn't eaten a chocolate croissant in almost 30 years, and finally got the chance to satiate his craving while on a recent trip to Paris with his daughters — though, as he noted, he once attempted to "case" a bakery in Los Angeles for one of the sweet treats ahead of the trip, but it didn't work out.

"We decided to have a chocolate croissant. But, this was extra special because it's been 30 years, so I've been thinking about this moment for 30 years," McDermott said. "I was like, okay, I'm finally going to do it. I walk in, a woman's behind the counter, and I notice she has just a little bit of a hair growing out of her chin. As I'm getting the croissant, I see that it dislodges from her chin and I watch it spin onto my croissant, and I immediately walked out."

Consuelos appeared to be physically revolted by the story, though Ripa took no issue with the thought of it adding an extra flavor to the dish.

"That wouldn't have stopped me," Ripa said, laughing. "I was like, waiting for the problem to happen."

McDermott went on to confirm that the story had a happy ending, as he wound up in Paris eating a hairless chocolate croissant with his daughters, which he said felt like "heaven."
