Elizabeth Hurley's son, Damian, thanks fans for 'overwhelming kindness' after dad Steve Bing's death
Elizabeth Hurley's 18-year-old son, Damian, is leaning on the "love and support" of fans in the days after the death of his father, Steve Bing.
The young model posted a message of gratitude Saturday on Instagram.
"I'd like to thank you all again for your overwhelming kindness over the past few days," he wrote. "Your love and support has helped me greatly during this challenging time."
Bing, 55, the movie producer behind films such as Tom Hanks' "The Polar Express" and Martin Scorsese’s Rolling Stones documentary "Shine a Light," was found dead Monday in Century City, an upscale neighborhood in Los Angeles. The LA Medical Examiner-Coroner confirmed his death on Tuesday.

"I am saddened beyond belief that my ex Steve is no longer with us. It is a terrible end," Elizabeth Hurley, 55, wrote earlier in the week on Instagram, sharing a series of photos of them together during their 18-month relationship. "Our time together was very happy and I’m posting these pictures because although we went through some tough times, it’s the good, wonderful memories of a sweet, kind man that matter. In the past year we had become close again. We last spoke on our son’s 18th birthday. This is devastating news and I thank everyone for their lovely messages."

Her teenage son, who signed with modeling agency Tess Management in 2018, also thanked supporters on Tuesday for their outpouring of support, calling it "a very strange and confusing time" and expressing gratitude for "my phenomenal family and friends."
Mick Jagger and former President Bill Clinton paid tribute to Bing in the days after his death.
Bing, founder of Shangri-La Entertainment, was the grandson of real estate developer Leo S. Bing, namesake of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art’s Bing Theater.
Bing's first executive producer credit came with the Sylvester Stallone film "Get Carter" (2000). Other credits include Robert Zemeckis’ 2007 drama "Beowulf," "Looking for Comedy in the Muslim World" (2005) and "Rock the Kasbah" (2015). At the time of his death, Bing was a producing a documentary about Jerry Lee Lewis.
Bing’s screenwriting credits include work on the "Missing in Action" film franchise, TV's "Married ... With Children" and co-writing the 2003 comedy "Kangaroo Jack."
