From Elton and the Eagles to Whitney and Waylon, tribute acts lead summer concert lineup at Green Bay Botanical Garden

GREEN BAY - Hearing "Proud Mary," "Rocket Man," Ring of Fire," "Hotel California" and "Crash into Me" are givens at the Green Bay Botanical Garden this summer.

Tribute acts celebrating the music of Tina Turner, Elton John, Johnny Cash, the Eagles and Dave Matthews Band are among the bands booked for a two-evening concert series in the Schneider Family Grand Garden.

Here are the lineups for each. Tickets for both series go on sale to the public at 9 a.m. May 6 at gbbg.org or call 920-490-9457 for assistance.

Dar Stumpf & Clyde Reed Grand Concert Series

  • June 7: The Highwaymen Live (Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson tribute)

  • July 12: Divas of Soul (Whitney Houston and Tina Turner tribute)

  • Aug. 9: Simply Elton (Elton John tribute)

  • Sept. 6: Heartbreak Tonight (Eagles tribute for the annual 21-and-older Brews, Bistros & Bonfires event)

Concerts are 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays. Tickets are $35-$60, with discounted tickets for Green Bay Botanical Garden members.

  • June 13: 7000apart (pop) (This is a switch from the originally announced John Kelley & Fusion Xpress Orchestra.)

  • June 20: Los Locales (Latin fusion)

  • June 27: Whiskey Belles (country/Americana)

  • July 18: Ants Marching (Dave Matthews Band tribute)

  • July 25: Model Citizens ('80s/'90s)

  • Aug. 1: Erin Krebs (blues/jazz)

  • Aug. 15: Chicago Mule (pop/classics)

  • Aug. 22: Big Mouth & The Power Tool Horns (blues/R&B/jazz/funk)

Concerts are from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursdays. Admission is $30 per family which includes two adults and children 17 and younger in the same household or grandchildren; $15 for adults; $13 for ages 62 and older and AAA, AARP, military and students (with school ID); $5 for ages 3 to17; free GBBG members and ages 2 and younger. Bring picnics, lawn chairs and blankets.
