'To All The Boys I've Loved Before' sequel adds '13 Reasons Why' actor Ross Butler
On the heels of Netflix’s To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before sequel casting its John Ambrose McClaren, otherwise known as Peter Kavinsky’s main competition for Lara Jean’s heart, the sequel has also tapped someone to play one of Kavinsky’s biggest allies.
EW can exclusively reveal that Ross Butler, best known for his work on Riverdale and 13 Reasons Why, will play Trevor, Peter Kavinsky’s best friend. “We’re thrilled to announce that the endlessly charming Ross Butler has joined the cast of the To All the Boys sequel as Trevor Pike,” producer Matt Kaplan says. “His real-life friendship with Noah brings a natural chemistry and great rapport to the set and we can’t wait for fans to see this friendship play out onscreen.” Proof of that friendship can be found in the exclusive shot of Noah Centineo and Butler below.
To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before took off last year, when the first film hit Netflix in August 2018. News of a sequel came in December, and seeing as how there are three books in the series from Jenny Han, fans are hoping that this is still just the beginning. The sequel does not yet have a release date.
