Emma Stone Enlivens Oscars Glamour in Plunging Louis Vuitton Dress and Retro Short Hairdo for 2025 Red Carpet
Emma Stone shimmered on the red carpet of the 2025 Oscars on Sunday in Los Angeles. The two-time Oscar-winning star was on-hand to present the award for best actress, which went to “Anora” star Mikey Madison.
Prior to the awards ceremony, Stone hit the red carpet with the night’s nominees and distinguished guests. For the special occasion, the “Poor Things” star wore a custom gown courtesy of Louis Vuitton, for which Stone has served as a brand ambassador since 2017. The dress was designed by Nicolas Ghesquière, the creative director of women’s collections at Louis Vuitton.

The shimmering sleeveless dress featured allover silver sequins with an A-line skirt and slightly cinched waist for added definition to the silhouette. Keeping her look relatively minimalist, Stone opted for High Jewelry pieces from the French luxury fashion house courtesy of Francesca Amfitheatrof, the artistic director of watches and jewelry for Louis Vuitton.
Stone’s glam was evocative of Old Hollywood glamour with some contemporary elements. The actress’ recent pixie cut was shaped into a sleek style with a side part by Mara Roszak. Her makeup included bold brows, winged eyes and a pop of color with a berry lip by artist Rachel Goodwin. Stone’s look was curated by stylist Petra Flannery, who also worked with “Emilia Pérez” Oscar-winning actress Zoe Salda?a.
Stone wasn’t the only star on the red carpet to wear a custom look courtesy of Louis Vuitton. Cynthia Erivo, nominated for best actress for her performance in “Wicked,” also wore a dramatic gown courtesy of the French luxury fashion house.
For her most recent Oscars appearances in 2024, 2019 and 2018, respectively, Stone has worn designs by Louis Vuitton. Her custom 2024 Oscars dress wholly embraced the resurgent peplum trend. She accessorized the look with matching pumps and a yellow sapphire necklace.
The 97th Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars, took place on Sunday at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. Conan O’Brien hosted the ceremony, honoring the best in cinema from the past year. Notable presenters included Halle Berry, Penélope Cruz, Scarlett Johansson, Oprah Winfrey, Cillian Murphy, Emma Stone and more.
