Emmy nomination list: Television Academy rewards 'The White Lotus,' 'Succession,' more

If the power-hungry Roys were real, they might be doing some celebratory cursing.

"Succession," HBO's family drama that departed in May after four seasons, leads the nominations for the 75th Primetime Emmy Awards announced Wednesday. "Succession" received 27 nods, including best drama, where the network's "The Last of Us" trailed closely behind with 24, followed by "The White Lotus" (23) and Apple TV+'s "Ted Lasso" was the most-nominated comedy (again) with 21.

This year's Emmys are scheduled to air Sept. 18 on Fox, but may be delayed by the ongoing writers strike and a potential actors' strike. A host for the ceremony has yet to be announced. Shows released between June 1, 2022, and May 31, 2023 are eligible.
