'Empire' and Hakeem Return

After the youngest son was kidnapped last week, Lyon family members quickly rallied to get him back. Lucious made it seem like this is just a normal part of the hip-hop business, “it’s a simple snatch and grab.” After paying the ransom of $40K, the family is finally all back together, but Hakeem thinks that he’s in the situation because of his family. “None of this would have gone down if I weren’t your son,” he says to Lucious and Cookie. Hakeem seems fine on the surface, but deep down he’s mad at himself for not fighting back. Luckily his brothers are able to bring him back to reality, as Andre put it, “the three of us, we can’t be broken up by thugs or kidnappers or anything else that comes at us because we already beat the odds by surviving as the children Lucious and Cookie Lyon.”
