Eric Church, Noah Kahan and Many Others to Perform at Tribute Concert for the Late Robbie Robertson in L.A.

It's time to honor the late Robbie Robertson.

The legendary musician and co-founder of The Band, who died at age 80 in August 2023, will be honored with a live concert, billed as Life Is a Carnival: A Musical Celebration of Robbie Robertson, on Oct. 17 at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles with performances from Eric Church, Noah Kahan and others.

Also featured on the lineup are musicians including Trey Anastasio, Ryan Bingham, Mike Campbell, Eric Clapton, Elvis Costello, Warren Haynes, Bruce Hornsby, Jim James, Jamey Johnson, Daniel Lanois, Taj Mahal, Van Morrison, Margo Price, Robert Randolph, Nathaniel Rateliff, Allison Russell, Mavis Staples, Benmont Tench, Don Was, Bobby Weir and Lucinda Williams.

Promoted by Live Nation, Life Is a Carnival is executive produced by Martin Scorsese — with whom Robertson worked on several films including 2023's Killers of the Flower Moon — as well as Jared Levine and Keith Wortman.

Tickets will first become available through a Citi cardmember presale at 10 a.m. PST on July 30, before the general on-sale kicks off at 10 a.m. PST on Aug. 2.

A portion of the event's proceeds will be donated to The Woodland Cultural Centre, located in Brantford, Ontario, Canada, near Robertson's Toronto hometown. The organization "funds and operates a range of arts, history, and education programs on the Sixth Nations Reserve in Canada," per a press release.

Levine, the late musician's manager of 34 years, confirmed his death "after a long illness" in a press release issued Aug. 9.

“Robbie was surrounded by his family at the time of his death, including his wife, Janet, his ex-wife, Dominique, her partner Nicholas, and his children Alexandra, Sebastian, Delphine, and Delphine’s partner Kenny,” Levine said in a statement. “In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to the Six Nations of the Grand River to support the building of their new cultural center."

The concert's announcement comes after Robertson's children Delphine, Sebastian and Alexandra, along with trustees of Robertson’s estate and trust, Adriane Hibbert and David Jackel sued his widow, Janet Zuccarini, accusing her of “financial elder abuse” and “tortious interference with inheritance" in May.

According to court documents obtained by PEOPLE at the time, the complaint calls for the cancellation of Robertson and Zuccarini’s TIC amendment, signed in March 2023, and compensatory and punitive damages.

A lawyer for Zuccarini told the Los Angeles Times the complaint is “meritless fiction.”
