Don't let the title fool you! Nobody Wants This, created by Erin Foster, brought together Veronica Mars and Seth Cohen, a.k.a Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, for a new romantic comedy series.
“This show is based on the only good decision I ever made: falling for a nice Jewish boy,” Foster told Tudum. “But I realized that being happy is way harder than being miserable — there’s nothing to complain about. So, I created this show based on all the ways that finding the right person can be so hard.”

What is Nobody Wants This about?
The rom-com series centers around a podcaster and a rabbi who meet at a dinner party and fall in love. The description for Nobody Wants This reads: "An agnostic podcast host and an unconventional rabbi on the rebound walk into a party. When they walk out — together — the unlikely pair, Joanne (Kristen Bell) and Noah (Adam Brody), can tell there is something between them. But also potentially between them, with their differing outlooks on life, all of the modern obstacles to love, and their sometimes well-meaning, sometimes sabotaging families — including her sister Morgan (Justin Lupe) and his brother Sasha (Timothy Simons)."
Foster told Tudum that the show doesn't make any "political statements" because she's "not the person to make that statement." She explained, "I didn’t grow up Jewish, I converted as an adult. I wanted to tell a Jewish story, but from an outsider’s perspective for someone who chose Judaism."
